Megan Williams
Owner | Piano
Founder of Equinox and teacher, Megan has dedicated her life to making the world more musical. Megan studied music therapy at Colorado State University and has been teaching piano for 10 years. Her teaching style incorporates rhythm games and interactive activities to keep students engaged and motivated. By blending structured lessons with fun, hands-on approaches, Megan helps students develop strong musical skills while enjoying the learning process.
Nick Melcher
Drums
Nick has been playing the drums for 24 years. Starting with training in drum line and jazz combos. He has played with various projects since and has performed at venues such as House of Blues in Dallas and Houston, TX. Most recently with a local Colorado band. Nick prides himself as a versatile drummer who can serve whatever the music requires. Nick is excited to start teaching again and work with the next generation of drummers.
Cooper Gorospe
Guitar
Cooper Gorospe is a musician, composer, and teacher based in Colorado Springs. Cooper received his Associate of Arts in Music at Pikes Peak State College and his Bachelor of Arts in Music at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. Cooper has been playing guitar for over a decade and has performed solo and with ensembles, including the Sagitta Guitar Quartet. In addition, Cooper has accompanied groups like the Out Loud Colorado Springs Men's Choir and the Vista Ridge High School Show Choir. Cooper works with students to tailor lessons toward their skills and interests while providing strong foundational skills in guitar.
Jake Carter
Piano
Jake is a passionate and dedicated piano teacher who uses music to enhance the power of a moment. He brings melodies to life with infectious enthusiasm and inspires students of all ages to discover their own musical prowess. Jake is a teacher with over a decade of experience, he has a sincere love for music, especially classical and video game tunes. Jake is patient, encouraging, and believes music is not merely a skill—it’s a language of emotion, connection, and creativity. Whether he's guiding a beginner through their first scales or helping an advanced student prepare their hundredth recital, Jake’s goal is always the same: to make music feel alive, accessible, and deeply personal.
Piano | Voice
Lucy Combs
Lucy is passionate about music and kids; teaching brings her so much joy. She has developed her piano skills for over a decade and loves music in many forms: listening, playing, composing, studying, singing… the list goes on. She leads worship regularly at church, conferences, and events. Lucy plays bluegrass, folk, and pop music with her family band. Her instruments have travelled with her across the United States, and even to Europe. Lucy works to develop in her students a deep love for their craft by focusing on their individual interests and goals, as well as general music theory and instrument knowledge. She loves to acquire new skills and is working to master the mandolin. Lucy is currently continuing her studies at UCCS and PPSC as a music major with vocal emphasis, where she is involved in solo and choral performances. She has enjoyed helping with the homeschooling of her nine younger siblings and loves sharing the excitement and happiness she has found in music.
